Brian Lowry

Senior Draftsperson

In a career spanning several decades, Brian’s technical contributions have left a mark on design projects spanning from Australia’s top end to London, often with high profile architecture and design practices. Extensive documentation experience has made him a solid contributor to Foreground projects, which includes the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre expansion.

With an abiding focus on ESD and Passivhaus principles, Brian was naturally drawn to Foreground’s innovative sustainability credentials when joining the practice in early 2022. His knowledge and experience documenting aged care, residential and disability access-driven designs made him a strong appointment during a pivotal period of growth.

Brian’s earlier project contributions include a 19-storey student accommodation building in Carlton, and commercial projects including the early mall-style innovation that was Meadowhall shopping centre in Sheffield, England.

Outside of work, Brian can be found in his home workshop, where he enjoys making projects – from furniture to major home restorations.
