Laurence Clifford

Laurence maintains interest in a range of typologies, preferencing sustainable architecture that benefits a broader user base. With a balanced focus on architecture, construction and interiors, he capably leads the design, documentation and administration of key projects at Foreground.

Since joining the practice in 2021, Laurence has contributed designs for the Supreme Court of Victoria’s three-level CBD expansion and the Suburban Rail Loop Authority head office fit out. He also administered the build of the Cottrell Street social housing apartments for Unison in Werribee. Laurence relishes these professional experiences, not only for the public benefit they bring, but also for the opportunities they afford to learn about new sectors and the way various public systems work. In 2024, Laurence joined the leadership team as an Associate.

Prior to joining Foreground, Laurence contributed to projects at various domestic and international architecture practices for more than a decade, leading residential, commercial and co-living/co-working developments, among other designs.
