Peter Sandow

Peter’s charisma and ability to relate to stakeholders is rivalled only by his skills in design. After more than 45 years in the industry, he maintains that “high value relationships transfer straight into the architecture.” Working with visionary clients and mentoring keen younger staff, he relishes a meeting of minds, pursuing bold statements and opportunities for innovation.

A suite of Plumbing Industry Climate Action Centre projects has best represented this challenge in recent years. Pooling the expertise of industry, these developments seek out demonstrative design approaches for industry education; well suited to Peter’s thoughtful and collaborative approach.

But it’s not all serious work. A keen skier, Peter has a long history of involvement on alpine residential projects. He enjoys returning to his design for Snake Gully Hut at Mt Hotham whenever possible – a project emblematic of his fun-loving approach that ultimately heroes good design and brings people together.
